Introduction
Zindagi ek safar hain suhana
* We followed him blindly along the route!
Zindagi pyar ka geet hain / ise har dilko gana padega
* We sang with him, aloud. We smiled, loved, quarreled, married and danced to his tunes.
Who are we?
We are proud devotees of Kishore Kumar Gangopadhyay. It is our greatest joy to be a part of the journey the legendary singer had made, ‘hanske’.
We are from every part of the globe – from India, the USA, the UK, Bangladesh, African countries. We are from every walk of life – students, music teachers, singers, software engineers, marketing professionals and housewives.
We met on a social networking site and found we have a common platform to stand upon – Kishore Kumar.
And we have a common dream, too – to let the world know of our love and respect towards the greatest singer of all times who had enlightened our lives with the divine voice. We are shameless to declare our devotion towards him.
What are our objectives?
Paucity of archiving data related to Indian Film songs pains us. We strive to achieve an everlasting impact on the generations to come, of the artistic genius in Kishore Kumar.
Why are we so particular?
The new generation’s lack of knowledge towards the golden period of music pains us. Add to that , the lack of recognition the luminaries got in their time in spite of contributing so much in Art and Music. So, how will next generation know about Kishore Kumar? How can his works be preserved in a systematic way? And how can newer talents and people from all parts of the society learn more about the “artist Kishore Kumar” rather than reading in Internet sites some half-informations and then perceiving things in a wrong way?
So, we stand firm on our common dream- awareness, preservation and recognition- the three “pillars” of our principle.. Help us in whatever way you can.. We have a plan and let us reveal some of them..
How to realize the dream?
* To launch a comprehensive website, for the first time, dedicated exclusively to Kishore Kumar, which will be a single window to the immortal singer. A gateway for the younger generation to know this man better.
* A day long multi-cultural fest on 4th August, the birthday of Kishore Kumar, this year. Full of entertainment and, at the same time, sharing information, revealing unknown facets of the genius and sharing other legends’ association with him. An awareness day for all of us, Kishore-devotees.
* Encouraging new singers with scholarship every year, in the name of Kishore Kumar, from the foundation.
* To render social services towards the underprivileged, children and making contribution to heart research.
* To establish a music school in the name of the King of Singing – Kishore Kumar – with branches all over India to encourage people to learn music and play instruments.
* To organize musical functions, write articles and knowledge sharing with luminaries of the golden era of Indian Film Music and creating awareness amongst common people.
* Any course of action on the legend which we feel is related to him and which would enhance the cultural halo around him.
Conclusion
It is high time we come out of theoretical lectures and internet surfing.. It is high time to let the society know about the genius of people who are no longer with us with their versatility… There have been many attempts in the past but got diverted focus.. We will not as we have a vision clear cut and mission downloaded to extreme bottom.. We need your advice and support to keep our direction fortified..
It is very nice to know about KK foundation and its objectives . I would love to be its member. I am ardent fan of KK since I was 4 years old. O Hansini, mere dil mei aaj kya hai & koi roko na deewane ko are my 3 all time favorite hits of kk music directed by 3 diff directors, RD, LP & RR respectively.
Do our foundation have any meet ups in Mumbai? (I stay in dadar]
The compare between Rafi Sahib with KK , can not be done honestly, since both the singers were great and National Assets of Hindi Film Industry, so far I understand where the voice of Rafi was full of sweetness , the another side voice of KK having Masti & full of Shokhiya , the relation between these two singers were also good , I think both the singers would be in the heaven and enjoying together , but we are arguing upon the both .

dilip kumar did not lose his place because he left rafi. He lost it due younger actors on the scene. As far as naushad is concerned – every one knows how much he disliked kishore kumar.
band karo shor,play only kishore
I don’t know why people speak about kishore as singer only as I think kishore da was better actor as i think also he was good actor.. Answer to post 32
Yes the name from 1950 to 1980 was opn who lost his place without mohd rafi and other name is Lata who replaced by Asha ji to sing with mohd rafi but there is no name in bollywood or in the world who can replace mohd rafi magic ,as said by Naushad I don’t know about tommorow but still there no one like mohdvrafi and maybe there can be singer like mohdvrafi but not human like him, mohd rafi sang under kishore da music they were good friends, first people try to compare mohd rafi with Talat ji and Talat mahmod answer was mohd rafi voice is god gift and he gift it to god, after that pele came to compare him with manna da but manna da answer was mohd rafi is from 1 to 10..after that with kishore da and some people comparing with even Sonu, Dilip kumar said once that people compare mohd rafi with kishore da but mohd rafi never said anything but his answer came by his great super hit songs.
There few actors who used mohd rafi in 1960’s they left mohd rafi they lost there place even Dilip ji was one of them if am not wrong…
it is a grate attemp for one and only kishore kumar

All of you will com to mohd rafi site but we want you to be honest only, we mohd rafi fans not able to write on KK site. KK is great actor and singr or we can say all in one man but Mohd Rafi is the only true singer in all the world who will not be compare with any singer as said by great singer Mannay Dey and many more other singers even KK said I can sing the song only one way but Mohd rafi can sing same song many ways….even KK used Mohd Rafi voice as actor.
OPN is great without Lata ji,Shammi ji and Naushad are Great without KK but give me one name from 1950 to 1980 was great without using Mohd Rafi..

No purpose in posting in rafi site. The posts are not posted there, that is the nature of rafi fans. If kishore fans posts are regularly posted, long back all foolish arguments would have been stopped in mohdrafi.com. Myself, kishore fan etc. have tried there earlier but in vain – only who can write posts supporting rafi only can find a place there – others it is very sorry affair.
Welcome kishore fans,
Shikore shumar’s courage and posts are fully appreciated. It is the nature of rafi’s site and rafi’s fans to call names for other fans of other great singers. This is happening from the beginning. Even if we try to post there, our posts are not posted there, cleverly it is ensured that such posts are not pasted there. Otherwise, how much time it will take for kishore fans to stop the arrogance of rafi fans. This “not posting of comments by kishore fans” weapon is safeguarding those rafi fans there in that site – otherwise long back such behaviour of rafi fans would have been stopped by kishore fans.
Now see some latest posts, there are some interesting rafi fans, really very very funny and interesting, who write about ghantasala, yesudas etc. without knowing or hearing even one song of these great singers of the south. And coming to kishore, all sorts of rubbish points are written – shikore shumar ji has put up some points, the response has been noticed by esteemed kishore fans, that shows the nature of rafi fans. Of course, barring a “very few little rafi fans”, majority of them belong to the same clan, – a sorry state of affairs.
Have a look at the Mohd Rafi site by clicking on the tabs on top of this page. Then look at the comments forum under “Comparision that never was between KK and Rafi”
A guy called Shikore Shumar has been writing on KK and how good he is. Unfortunately he has been treated very badly by all in the forum and asked to leave the forum. He has been called all kinds of names. I think he needs all the KK fans support urgently. Go an support him please

It is so nice that some has time for the one and only Kishore Kumar. It is sad that now a days the younger generations are not knowing who he was. They hear the remix songs such as “Apne tho jaise taise..” or “Khaika pan banaras wala” etc but they don’t know that the king ‘Kishore Kumar’ sang this song in the first place. I live in UK and it would be nice if I can also find other Kishore Kumar’s fans here in UK.
Dear Arghya, and several other Kishore Fans,
Its a great idea to form the Kishore Kumar Foundation. I wish to become a member of the same. More importantly, I am interestedd in forming a Kishore Kumar Foundation, Chennai Chapter (or KKF-Chennai). Please do advise me the next steps and if there are any similar local Chapters, I will be happy to learn from them and also to be in touch so that we can network.
I request Arghya to mail me at the earliest.
Best Regards and Best Wishes for New Year 2011.

Hi, Any Kishore fans in Hong Kong?

my guru kishore da whose voice make you to live again a full life and my lifes mistake is that i can not meet my guru in real life but i wish i can see his all belongings
Kishoreji is the greatest enigma of all times.
Kishore Kumar, a bright genius and wonderful singer.
Kishore Kumar, what a genius, a wonderful singer and all rounder. He had all the courage to venture into various fields of film making. Above all a gifted singer.
I love his style of singing.
The commercial production of PC (Personal computers) had started in 1981. They used to run on DOS (Disk Operating System)–rather cumbersome, not easy to follow. In 1986 Bill Gates introduced his Windows Operating System–life became simple, extremely user friendly, easily comprehensible. But 18 years before that Kishore Kumar had sung–“In my next version of Window, there is a piece of lunacy”. (Meri samnewali khirdi mein, ek chand ka tukra rahta hai”!
today- i came to know about this foundation by reading news from times of india. thanks to the foundation people for this great step.
with lot of love for your all

i m writing a comprehensive book on kishore kumar.this book will comprise lyrics of all the songs sung by kishore kumar.there r so many books in market written by various writers such as vishwas nerurkar ji,derek bose ji,kamal dhiman, kishore valicha etc.these books do not give the idea about the full version of the songs.as most of the kishore fan will be knowing that there are so many songs sung by kishore kumar which r on audio but not on vidio and vice versa.some songs are partially released on audio but there full version is available on video, some songs are unreleased etc.my 80% work is almost completed &i m working on rest of 20%.i m not that rich person.i have been collecting the songs from last 14 years from my limited resources.still i m missing some rare songs.can anybody help me in this regard?the work which i m doing is rare &nobody has done yet.
the foundation must demand bharatratna for kishorekumar for his outstanding contribuition to indian cinema!
