(Jugal Bandi – Kis Mein Kitne Hain Kishore)
‘Kis Mein Kitne Hain Kishore’ the prevailing theme of the 11th episode continued in the 12th episode of ‘K for Kishore’. The show started with the exuberant performance by Bela Sulakhe, who had been a part of Kishore Da’s musical tour group. The crowd enjoyed her performance thoroughly while contestants relaxed despite the tension in the air.

Bela – Pyare Bandhon
The hosts both Babul and Rajeshwari were lively and dressed in an attractive trendy outfits. Rajeshwari looked stunning in a red saree draped in Mumtaz fashion. With Bela singing ‘Eena Mina Dika’, everyone had a good time dancing and tapping their toes to their beat.

Sameer Memon – Mere Meheboob
The first pair to commence the programme was, Jhumroo Sameer Memon, who is the most loved Kishore disciple and Bangdu Nayan Rathod, who is a favorite of Bappi Da. Bappida chose ‘Mere Mehboob Kayamat Hogi’ from the movie ‘Mr X in Bombay’ for Sameer Memon and his own composition ‘De De Pyar De’ from the movie ‘Sharaabi’ for Nayan Rathod, It was noticed in the past that Sameer’s performance had been marred by his breathing problem for last couple of episodes. His faltered at the high scales and that caught the sharp ears of the judges. His performance was tagged as above average but not so great. Leena missed the emotion in the song . He managed to gather a score of 23. Nayan sang the number from ‘Sharaabi’, which has made the days and nights in not only in discos but also in many Indian celebrations like marriages or social functions. Nayan literally rocked the stage and everyone seemed to be enjoying it immensely. Nayan did all he could to woo the judges. Bappi Da got inspired by this number and invited Bela to sing the part Asha Bhonsle had song. Nayan even dedicated the song ‘Leena O Leena’ to Mrs. Leena Ganguly, which might have been dedicated by the legendary singer to his lovely wife. Leena got sentimental with tears in her eyes. He scored a total of 29, which has been a highest among all the participants in this round.

Milind Ingle – Hamen Aur Jeene
The last pair to come on stage was Milind Ingle, who is the Tata Indicom Challenger and Suhas Sawant, who is the youngest and hence the most loved Kishore fan in the show. Sudesh decided the songs for these two singers. Milind sang the title number from the movie ‘Agar Tum Na Hote’. While Leena felt that it was closer to Kishore Da’s voice, Bappi Da felt it didn’t touch his heart. Sudesh also felt the same way and Milind scored only 22. Suhas flirted with the song ‘Meet Na Mila Re Man ka’ from the movie ‘Abhiman’. Leena felt his performance was closer to Kishore Da and Bappi found it to be very good. Sudesh was thoroughly enjoying it. Suhas got a nice score of 25.

Suhas Sawan – Meet Na Mila Re
With this, we came closer to the inevitable eliminations. The Kishore fans in danger were 3 Jhumroos and 1 Bangdu, i.e., Sameer Memon, Kshitij Wagh, Vinod Sheshadri and Milind Ingle. As is the pattern of this show, the judges gave them a song to show their talent again. The four of them sang in their own styles and finally, the judges saved Kshitij. And between, Sameer, Vinod and Milind, the judges decided in favor of Milind.

Sameer, Milind, Vinod and Kshitij
The two true Kishore fans who had to quit this show were Sameer and Vinod. The moment was sad and it become even sadder with the judges trying to justify their decision and Sameer trying to prove that he sang difficult songs. However, all have united to pay their tributes to the legend Kishore Kumar and everything ended peacefully. Vinod showed the true spirit of the show and bade a farewell to the show and the judges with promises to sing better in future.

Judges vs Sameer
It was indeed painful parting for these two lively performers but the show has to move on. The show drew to an end where there was sadness with the dismissal of two contestants and with an expectation of more fun next week with the evergreen and inspiring songs by Kishore Kumar. What can be a better way to bid farewell with hope, than by singing ‘Oh Raahi Oh Raahi’ and ‘Chalte Chalte’!
