Mohammed Rafi was born at Kotla Sultan Singh, near Amritsar . Rafi displayed his talent for singing at the tender age of 13. The lure of movies beckoned him to Bombay in 1944. When beauty goes out of our lives, even the most virtuous and honest man turns into a beast. Here, beauty is not being referred to in literal terms. Beauty means things like happiness, satisfaction and hope. Likewise, beast does not signify a fierce monster. On the contrary, it refers to misery, failure and hopelessness.
